Installation and Maintenance of Electric Meter Boxes: The Key to Ensuring Safe and Stable Operation
Proper installation and regular maintenance are important links to ensure the safe and stable operation of electric meter boxes, which are directly related to the normal operation of the power system and the safety of user electricity consumption.
In terms of installation, first, a suitable installation location should be selected. Electric meter boxes should be installed in dry, ventilated places without corrosive gases, avoiding direct sunlight and rain. The installation height needs to meet relevant standards. Generally, the bottom of the meter box should be 1.8 - 2.2 meters above the ground, facilitating operation and maintenance. During the installation process, ensure that the box is firmly fixed to prevent the box from loosening due to vibrations, external forces, and other factors. At the same time, strictly follow the electrical wiring specifications for line connections to ensure that live wires, neutral wires, and ground wires are correctly connected, avoiding short circuits, electric leakage, and other problems caused by incorrect wiring.
Maintenance is equally important. During daily inspections, check whether the appearance of the electric meter box is intact, and whether there are any damages, deformations, corrosions, etc. Check whether the box door is closed
