Installation specifications and standards for meter boxes

1. Installation position and height
Electric energy metering box: It should be installed in a dedicated meter box, with a thickness of not less than 20mm on the meter board, and installed in a dry, clean, easy to maintain and meter reading place. The lower edge of the meter box should be 1.7-2 meters above the ground, and the lower edge of the concealed meter box should be about 1.5 meters above the ground. The center distance of the parallel installed electric energy meters should not be less than 20cm.
Distribution box: The installation height of residential distribution boxes should be above 1.8 meters, and the height of distribution boxes used by special groups should be adjusted according to actual needs.
2. Fixed method and structural requirements
Electric energy metering box: The meter box should be firmly installed on the wall and fixed with foot bolts or expansion bolts. The length of the bolts should consider factors such as burial depth and box bottom plate thickness.
Distribution box: The exposed distribution box is fixed by foot bolts, while the concealed distribution box is embedded in the wall for installation. Holes need to be reserved and filled with concrete for fixation.
3. Wiring requirements
Electric energy metering box: The secondary wire of the current transformer must use well insulated copper core wire, with no joints in the middle, and aluminum core wire and flexible wire are not allowed. The minimum cross-section is 4mm ².
Distribution box: The power line of the spiral fuse in the distribution box should be connected to the terminal of the middle contact, and the load line should be connected to the threaded terminal; The AC, DC, or power sources with different voltage levels inside the distribution box should be clearly marked.
