May Day

May Day, also known as International Labor Day, is a holiday shared by working people around the world and is celebrated on May 1st every year. The following is a detailed introduction about May Day Labor Day:
Origin of the holiday: May Day originated from the workers' strike in Chicago, USA. In commemoration of this great workers' movement, in July 1889, the Second International declared May 1st as International Labor Day.
Chinese celebration activities: In China, May Day is a national holiday, usually with an additional 3 days off (combined or adjusted with weekends) to allow people sufficient time to rest and celebrate.
